Hello My Cab ("we", "us") operates the Hello My Cab mobile application (the "App"), a cab-booking service. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account info: your name, mobile number and (optionally) email, to create your account and verify you via OTP.
• Location: your device location to set pickup/drop points, find nearby drivers and show your ride on the map. Used while you use the App.
• Contacts (optional): if you allow it, we read contacts to help with booking and safety features. Contacts are stored securely linked to your account and never sold.
• Booking & trip data: pickup/drop, vehicle, fare, schedule and payment method.
• Payment info: online advance payments are processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store your card/UPI details.
• Device & usage data: basic diagnostics to keep the service reliable.

How we use it

• To provide and operate cab bookings (matching drivers, navigation, fares, receipts).
• To send booking updates and receipts via the App, SMS, WhatsApp and email.
• To keep riders and drivers safe (e.g. masked calling so personal numbers stay private).
• To prevent fraud and comply with law.

Sharing

We share trip-necessary details between the rider and the assigned driver (via masked numbers where possible). We use trusted processors — payments (Razorpay), messaging (WhatsApp/SMS/email), maps and cloud hosting — only to run the service. We do not sell your personal data.

Data retention & security

We retain data while your account is active and as required by law, then delete or anonymise it. Data is protected with industry-standard security (encryption in transit, access controls).

Your rights

You can request access, correction or deletion of your data, and revoke location/contacts permissions any time in your device settings. To request account/data deletion, email support@hellomycabs.com.

Children

The App is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children.
